About

Where to begin? I got my first computer from my grandfather, who had a small repair shop in Framingham, MA. I can’t remember how much it cost but I can remember some of the specs. It had dual 5 1/4 floppy drives, no hard disc drive, and a monochrome monitor. I used it to start short stories; all of which I never finished. I also played Centipede on it. Games in monochrome just didn’t have the same appeal, plus the sound was horrible (ironically, I now listen to copious amounts of techno).

Today, I have a powerful PC and spend most of my computer time shuffling data back and forth, in a never-ending battle to avoid losing every valuable megabyte. Lately, however, I’ve been stemming the tide of accumulating mp3’s and raw images, and thetransient.com exists because of it. I’ve been putting my freed up time into developing this blog to finally get myself a presence on the web. I am a web designer, after all!
